What is this GravityKit charge on my bill, and do I need it?
If you've received a charge from GravityKit and aren't sure what it's for, you're in the right place. This often happens when a developer or former employee set up your website and the subscription renewed automatically.
What is GravityKit?
GravityKit is a software company that makes plugins (add-ons) for WordPress websites. Our main product, GravityView, extends Gravity Forms (a popular form-building tool) by adding features to display, edit, and manage form submissions on your website.
Common uses include:
- Member directories: Display a searchable list of people or businesses
- Application portals: Let users submit and track applications
- Internal dashboards: View and manage form data without accessing the WordPress admin
- Data exports: Automatically export form submissions to Excel, CSV, or cloud storage
If someone built custom functionality on your WordPress site using forms, there's a good chance GravityKit plugins are powering it.
How to check if GravityKit is being used on your site
Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard (usually yoursite.com/wp-admin )
- Look for a GravityKit menu item in the left sidebar
- If you see it, click on it to see which GravityKit plugins are active
- You can also go to Plugins and search for "GravityKit" or "GravityView"
If you see GravityKit plugins listed, they are likely being used somewhere on your site.
How to determine if you still need it
Ask yourself:
- Does your website have any directories, listings, or data displays?
- Do users submit applications, registrations, or other forms that need to be reviewed?
- Do you export form data regularly?
If you're unsure, we're happy to help you figure out what's been built. Grant us temporary access to your site and we can review your setup and explain what GravityKit is doing for you.
Your options
- Keep your subscription: Your license includes continued access to plugin updates and priority support. If your site relies on GravityKit functionality, keeping the subscription ensures everything continues working smoothly.
- Request a refund: If you've determined you don't need GravityKit, you can request a refund.
- Get help understanding your setup: Not sure what's what? Grant us support access and we'll review your site and explain what was built.
Managing your subscription
To manage your subscription settings, log in to your GravityKit account. From there you can view your licenses, update payment methods, or turn off auto-renewal.
If you don't have access to the account because it was set up by someone else, contact us with the email address associated with the charge and we'll help you gain access.
