Overview

GravityBoard's GravityView integration allows you to:

  • View entries in GravityView - Open card entries in a GravityView View for detailed display
  • Edit entries in GravityView - Use GravityView's Edit Entry functionality directly from cards
  • Seamless navigation - Move between kanban and table/list views effortlessly
  • Maintain permissions - Integration respects both GravityBoard and GravityView permissions

How It Works

When a GravityView View is connected to your GravityBoard, links automatically appear in cards allowing users to: 1. View the full entry in GravityView's Single Entry layout 2. Edit the entry using GravityView's Edit Entry feature (if enabled and the user has permission to edit the entry)

Prerequisites

Before setting up the integration, ensure you have:

Required Components

  1. GravityBoard - Version 1.1 or higher
  2. GravityView - Active license and latest version installed
  3. Gravity Forms - With at least one form configured

Troubleshooting

Links Not Appearing

If the GravityView links don't appear in your cards:

  2. Check Single Entry: Confirm Single Entry is enabled in View settings
  3. Same form: Verify both GravityBoard and GravityView use the same form
  4. Clear cache: Clear any caching plugins or browser cache
  5. Check permissions: Ensure you have permission to view the GravityView

Edit Link Missing

If only "View in GravityView" appears (no edit link):

  1. Enable Edit Entry: Check that Edit Entry is enabled in View settings
  2. Edit permissions: Verify you have permission to edit entries
  3. Editable fields: Ensure at least one field is set as editable
  4. User capabilities: Confirm your user role can edit entries

Advanced Tips

Using Multiple Views

Create specialized Views for different purposes:

Form: "Project Requests"
├── GravityBoard: "Project Kanban" (workflow management)
├── GravityView 1: "Project Details" (comprehensive view)
├── GravityView 2: "Project Reports" (summary view)
└── GravityView 3: "Client Portal" (limited fields)

Summary

The GravityView integration enhances GravityBoard by providing:

  • Detailed entry views beyond what cards can show
  • Advanced editing with full form capabilities
  • Flexible workflows combining kanban and traditional views
  • Unified experience across different view types

By following this guide, you can create powerful workflows that leverage the strengths of both plugins.
